Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining a sanitary and attractive environment in specific assigned areas.
- Cleans resident apartments according to cleaning schedule including washing and vacuuming floors and cleaning bathrooms.
- Cleans all areas of facility as assigned including common areas and common area restrooms, TV/media rooms and offices.
- Responds to unplanned or emergency cleaning situations as needed.
- Reports any needed repairs immediately to supervisor.
- Maintains storage rooms in an organized fashion; maintains housekeeping carts and restocks for the following day.
- Adheres to established safety procedures.
- Assists staff and residents in emergency situations.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work independently and use good judgement.
- Must follow the facilities and the organizations policies and procedures.
- Previous experience as a housekeeper or custodian preferred.
