Role Overview
We are seeking a market-savvy and strategically minded Product Owner to drive the evolution of Ascentialytics’ data-centric product portfolio. This role is responsible for identifying market opportunities, conducting competitive and customer research, and translating insights into product features that deliver differentiated value across industrial sectors such as off-highway, aerospace, and manufacturing. The Product Owner will collaborate closely with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to prioritize the product roadmap, define feature requirements, and ensure alignment with go-to-market strategy and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and evolve the product roadmap in alignment with business goals and customer feedback.
- Translate complex technical capabilities into clear product value propositions.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, UX/UI, and sales teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Act as the voice of the customer in technical discussions and product planning.
- Execution & Delivery
- Own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and iteration.
- Prioritize features and enhancements based on data, user feedback, and business impact.
- Technical Stewardship
- Leverage your engineering background to guide architecture decisions, ensure scalability, and troubleshoot technical challenges.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance product capabilities.
- Customer & Market Insight
- Work within the Sales cycle to train, engage and be at the table with clients in business development and sales activities.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to inform product decisions.
- Monitor product performance and user engagement metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in data analytics, SaaS, or industrial tech.
- Proven experience working closely with Sales and Business Development to convert opportunities to closed business
- Proven ability to work with engineering teams and understand technical trade-offs.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and product development tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with data visualization platforms, machine learning concepts, and cloud infrastructure is a plus.
