What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machinist 2 position at Ascential Technologies?
Location: XL Machine, Three Rivers
Employment Type: Full-Time (Mon-Thur 5AM-3:30PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Review blueprints, work orders, and specifications to plan machining operations.
- Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, ensuring proper tooling, alignment, and calibration.
- Interpret GD&T and use precision measuring tools to verify part accuracy.
- Monitor machining processes, make adjustments, and replace tools as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform preventive maintenance and maintain clean, safe work areas.
- Document production data and communicate effectively across shifts.
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist I or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of CNC setup and operation (mills and lathes).
- Proficiency with blueprints, GD&T, and precision measurement tools.
- Ability to work independently — including building fixtures and tooling.
- Aerospace machining experience is a plus.
