What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Builder II position at Ascential Technologies?
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and analyze assembly prints and specifications, and plan machine building operations.
- Fit and assemble components according to specifications and test for conformance to specification and operation:
- Align components for assembly and assemble parts using hand tools.
- Verify conformance of parts to blueprints using measuring instruments.
- Assemble, set up and operate machines to verify functioning, machine capabilities and conformance.
- Form and fasten pneumatic and hydraulic lines, fixtures and attachments required to service machines with air, water and oil.
- May install wiring and electrical components to specifications.
- Debug assemblies and machines by identifying and correcting problems affecting proper operation.
- Fabricates and modifies parts as required.
- Layout hole locations: drill and tap holes on parts for assembly.
- Set up and operate metalworking machines to fabricate or modify parts.
- Perform installation, debug, repair and other field service duties that require off-site travel
Salary range - $29 - $33 per hour
