Summary
Senior technology operations leader responsible for the coordinated, day-to-day performance of Infrastructure, Information Security, Data Operations, Development, and Mortgage Technology. Serves on the Enterprise Leadership Team and acts as the operational bridge between the CTO and the broader technology organization, translating strategy into execution while co-owning budget, board reporting, and regulatory exam support.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Serve on the Enterprise Leadership Team; partner with the CTO to define and communicate the technology operational roadmap to executive leadership and the Board.
- Exercise operational authority over Development, Mortgage Technology, Infrastructure, Information Security, and Data Operations, aligning delivery, prioritization, and execution to business commitments.
- Facilitate resolution of cross-departmental conflicts, resource constraints, and delivery bottlenecks across all technology functions.
- Govern data operations strategy ensuring integrity, availability, and appropriate use in support of BI, reporting, and regulatory obligations.
Infrastructure, Security & Compliance
- Collaborate with Infrastructure leadership to manage Azure-based infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Information Security leadership to enforce IT security policies, data privacy, and FDIC-affiliated regulatory compliance (GLBA, FFIEC, SOC 2).
- Support regulatory examination preparation and board-level technology reporting in partnership with the CTO.
Budget, Vendors & Service Desk
- Co-own the technology budget with the CTO; recommend investment priorities across infrastructure, tooling, staffing, and vendors.
- Manage strategic vendor relationships, contract negotiations, SLAs, and performance accountability.
- Provide executive oversight of IT help desk and service desk operations, SLA adherence, and self-service capability development.
Team Development
- Build and mentor a cross-functional technology operations leadership team; drive professional development and succession planning.
Requirements
- 10 years of progressive technology leadership; 5 years in a senior role overseeing multiple technology functions.
- 3 years of enterprise-wide cross-functional operational authority.
- Azure cloud experience (compute, networking, storage, security) including compliance control implementation.
- Working knowledge of FDIC-affiliated regulatory frameworks: GLBA, FFIEC, SOC 2.
- Deep familiarity with ITIL or equivalent service management practices.
- Demonstrated experience in budget management, vendor negotiations, and SLA governance.
- Experience supporting regulatory examinations and preparing board-level technology reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Preferred
- Background in mortgage lending, regulations, or compliance.
- Demonstrated success leading technology operations in a regulated financial services environment.
Salary : $175,000 - $200,000
