Certified Laser Technician

Job Summary:

Ascent Medical Spa & Wellness is seeking a skilled and certified Laser Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a professional who excels in a patient-centered environment and is passionate about delivering safe, effective, and transformative laser treatments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laser science and safety protocols, along with a genuine commitment to exceptional client care. They will be responsible for consulting with patients, performing a variety of laser and energy-based treatments, maintaining strict safety and compliance standards, and supporting patients throughout their journey to enhanced skin health, confidence and wellness.

Laser Services

¨ Conduct skincare consultations to assess patient needs and recommend customized treatments and products.

¨ Administer laser treatments such as hair removal, skin resurfacing, pigmentation correction, and vascular treatments.

¨ Conduct patch tests and consultations to determine patient suitability for laser procedures.

¨ Educate patients on proper skincare routines and post-treatment care.

¨ Maintain and operate laser equipment safely and effectively, adhering to all protocols and regulations.

¨ Recommend retail products to complement treatments and support skin health.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

¨ Build strong patient relationships and provide outstanding customer service.

¨ Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products, while educating and training patients in these areas, so they are aware of all our services offered.

¨ Maintain detailed and timely patient records, including treatment plans and progress updates.

¨ Actively promote home skin care regimens and document all medical information using appropriate forms and clinical notes in the software system.

¨ Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.

¨ Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment, and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.

¨ Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the practice.

¨ Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.

¨ Have a thorough working knowledge of all medical protocols, standard operating procedures, and policies that pertain to your role.

¨ Support other practitioners by assisting with rooming and preparing patients for treatment.

¨ Have a working knowledge of all medical services in addition to laser services and be able to guide patients to appropriate services to help best achieve their goals. Even if it is not a service you perform.

¨ Perform prep work and properly clean and restock the rooms as required.

¨ Actively promote all treatments, services, sessions, and retail as well as programs, promotions, and/or discounts available.

¨ Handle patient questions and concerns professionally and courteously.

¨ Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by patients–ensuring complete guest satisfaction.

¨ Possess ability to work without direct supervision.

¨ Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.

¨ Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for Ascent Med.

¨ Assist in appropriate areas of business operations as requested by management.

¨ Attend scheduled training, in-services, and continuous education opportunities.

¨ Abide by facility established pricing guides and minimums. Discuss any deviation with management in advance.

Education and Experience Requirements:

¨ Must hold and maintain a current Wyoming license.

¨ Must be a certified laser technician.

¨ Minimum of 3-5 years in an aesthetic, dermatology or plastic surgery practice preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
