Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve breakfast items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and food stations, following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as toasters, coffee machines, grills, and food warmers safely and efficiently.
- Handle food with proper techniques to ensure safety and hygiene, including food handling and processing cash transactions at the POS system.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling, or portioning ingredients while adhering to food safety management protocols.
- Restock supplies regularly to ensure the breakfast station remains fully equipped for service.
- Engage in friendly in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating dietary needs or special requests.
- Follow manual handling procedures when lifting or moving heavy items like bulk supplies or large trays.
- Support catering or banquet setups when required, ensuring timely delivery of breakfast services for events or group bookings.
- Maintain a clean working environment by adhering to cleaning schedules and sanitation standards throughout your shift.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles is highly preferred; experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as coffee machines, grills, ovens, or POS systems enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Experience with catering or banquet service demonstrates versatility in managing diverse breakfast service needs.
- Barista experience or knowledge of wine can be an added advantage for creating specialty beverages or enhancing guest interactions.
