Purlin Mill-Machine Operator (2nd Shift)

The Machine Operator works independently and uses judgement to fabricate material using complex machinery. They should have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams and operate a variety of equipment involved in daily manufacturing processes. The Machine Operator will perform computer downloads containing specifications that direct the machine to operate efficiently.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe operation.
• Roll forming / purlin mill experience is a must.
• Set up and basic preventive maintenance of Roll Forming Mills, along with other manufacturing equipment.
• Will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints to produce quality products.
• Will be required to assist in maintenance and repair activities as needed.
• Will be responsible for operating overhead crane and forklift.
• Must be able and willing to prepare documentation and/or enter data as required.
• Will be required to help in other areas as needed.

• 
  High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience independently operating computer-controlled machine operation, including robotic, automatic, or semi-automatic machines.
• Computer/Oracle ERP
• Prints/tablet drawings
• Calculator
• Slings and rigging equipment
• Overhead crane and/or hoists. May require other mobile equipment.
• Variety of measuring tools including square, tape measure, caliper, micrometer, etc.
• Variety of hand tools including grinder, hands free tooling, etc.
