Responsibilities

The Domain Owner is responsible for defining product vision, road-map, growth opportunities and priorities aligned to business needs within the domains in scope.  The Domain Owner should understand the functional domain, the market, the industry, the customer and the business in order to make sound decisions.  The Domain Owner should also have a strong technical background so they can contribute to and prioritize technical features as well to achieve the highest performing product.

 

Responsibilities - 

  • Manage administration and maintenance of assigned information systems, function(s) and/or resources.
  • Understands a business unit&rsquos desired end state business model including business strategy, offerings, operations and structure.
  • Identifies core business capabilities and processes, the entities that interact with those capabilities, and the interactions between these core business capabilities.
  • Understands and can articulate the interdependencies/orchestration and related workflows of products within given domain(s)
  • Provides the vision and direction to the solution architect team and stakeholders throughout the project. 
  • Researches and analyzes the industry, the market, the users, and the roadmap for the product.
  • Brokers effective communication between service providers, vendors, architects, and other stakeholders as necessary to ensure efficient and effective alignment to product lifecycle activities.
  • Understands operational use of the product within the domain(s) and makes recommendations for improving performance metrics.
  • Participates in cross-functional discussions for developing and implementing new processes, standards and high-level requirements for products within the domain(s). 
  • Manage assignments for installations, conversions and upgrades, and develop implementation plans that ensure minimal impact on end users.
  • Collaborate on needs analysis for customer service, upgrades or changes to systems.
  • Recommend cost-effective hardware/software solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects, often through subordinate project managers.
  • Ensure resources and organization structure are in place and operating effectively and anticipate conflicting needs and proactively resolve them.
  • Direct, develop, and present to management various analyses that include organization, systems, feasibility and cost/benefit studies, implementation plans.
  • Exercise judgment and influence on key technical decisions, standards, policies, environment selection, architecture, data flows and technical solutions

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Certification credentialed from the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
    degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Additional Preferences

Clinical/Informatics experience preferred.

Meditech experience is preferred.
