Responsibilities and Duties:
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials and shipments
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Match purchase orders, sales orders, and delivery documents
- Pull, stage, and prepare materials for jobsite delivery
- Organize and stock materials in designated warehouse locations
- Maintain accurate inventory records using computer systems or scanning tools
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory control procedures
- Ensure proper labeling, tracking, and storage of materials
- Prepare and assemble job orders for shipment or delivery
- Deliver and pick up materials from job sites and supply houses as needed
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (as trained/certified)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all safety policies and company procedures
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
- Willingness to learn warehouse systems, processes, and procedures
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required throughout the day
- Basic understanding of construction materials or warehouse operations (preferred)
- Forklift experience or willingness to become certified (preferred)
- Valid commercial driver’s license for material deliveries and pickups
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment
- Comfortable working in indoor warehouse and occasional outdoor environments
- Preferably two years’ warehouse experience (plus if in the electrical industry)
