Electrical Apprentice 2

Description: 

Walsh Electric Services is seeking a motivated and dependable Electrical Apprentice (Year 2) to join our growing team. In this role, you will assist with the installation of electrical systems for new construction, tenant upfits, and remodeling projects while working under the supervision of experienced crew leaders and foremen. This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice looking to continue developing their skills in the commercial electrical industry.

What You’ll Do: 

• Assist with the installation of electrical systems on commercial construction projects 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment 
• Organize and maintain tools, equipment, and materials 
• Support accountability and proper care of company tools and equipment 
• Learn to measure, bend, and install electrical conduit, including EMT and MC cable 
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications 
• Meet weekly production goals established by the Foreman 
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations 
• Properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) 
• Contribute to a positive team environment focused on safety, communication, and quality workmanship 
• Maintain a personal set of required hand tools, drills, drivers, and related accessories 

What You’ll Bring: 

• Minimum of 2 years of electrical field experience 
• Current apprentice training certifications required 
• Experience assisting with commercial electrical installations preferred 
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced electricians 
• Ability to take direction and work effectively as part of a team 
• Good organizational and time-management skills 
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship 
• Ability to work on active commercial construction job sites 

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds 
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and squat as required 
• Ability to climb ladders and work in various construction site conditions 
• Capable of performing physical labor throughout the workday
