How you’ll make an impact in this role
High-Quality Culinary Production: Prepare and cook a variety of meals using diverse methods (baking, braising, sautéing, etc.) while following standardized recipes to ensure excellent flavor, texture, and appearance.
Therapeutic Diet Compliance: Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with planned menus and specific therapeutic diet orders, maintaining strict adherence to portion control and nutritional guidelines for residents.
Safety & Regulatory Standards: Maintain a sanitary work environment by following Federal, State, and Local regulations, which includes monitoring food temperatures, practicing proper labeling/storage, and adhering to infection control protocols.
Efficiency & Resource Management: Manage food production schedules to ensure timely meal service, utilize batch cooking to minimize waste, and accurately track inventory and leftovers to control food costs.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need
Education:
- H.S. Diploma or GED preferred..
- Preferred Education: Associates Degree. Preferred Field-of-Expertise: AAS in Culinary Arts
- Minimum Experience: Three (3) months Cook's experience or training in a commercial environment.
- Preferred Experience: One (1) year experience in quantity cooking in healthcare or hotel/restaurant; demonstrated culinary work experience.
