Position: Paralegal
Location: Coral Gables, FL (Full-Time, In-Office)
Reports To: General Counsel
Compensation: Mid-$90,000s, commensurate with experience
Required Experience
• 5 years of paralegal experience.
• Strong background supporting commercial real estate and corporate transactions.
• Ability to manage large, complex transactions involving significant documentation, deadlines, redlines, and transaction checklists.
• Experience reviewing contracts and understanding key provisions.
• Strong organizational and calendaring skills.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Comfortable working with and supporting accounting/finance teams.
Primary Responsibilities
• Support the General Counsel in commercial real estate and development-related matters.
• Review contracts, identify key dates, maintain calendars, and provide proactive reminders regarding critical deadlines and obligations.
• Assist with transactions involving master developers and large-scale development projects.
• Manage transaction documentation and closing processes.
• Coordinate closings with title companies.
• Prepare and review closing statements.
• Review and track commercial lease agreements, including critical dates, renewal periods, obligations, and deadlines.
• Assist with matters involving homebuilders and residential development projects.
• Review homebuilding-related closing documentation and statements.
Preferred Experience
• Experience working with production builders/homebuilders.
• Real estate development experience is highly desirable.
• Experience coordinating with title companies and handling real estate closings.
Additional Responsibilities
• Periodically assist with personal legal matters for company ownership and executives, such as residential real estate transactions.
• Occasionally provide support to the CFO on legal and transactional matters as needed.
• Willingness to contribute wherever necessary as a team player, including administrative or project-related support when needed.
