Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a Billing Coordinator for our client’s Miami, FL office.
Job Summary
The Billing Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient client billing operations while supporting a team of attorneys. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage the full lifecycle of the firm’s monthly billing process, including handling special projects and diverse client requests.
Key Responsibilities
• Process and ensure accuracy of monthly client billing for assigned attorneys
• Review and edit pre-bills for completeness and compliance with client guidelines
• Generate final invoices from approved pre-bills, adhering to matter-specific instructions
• Manage write-offs in accordance with firm policies, including obtaining necessary approvals
• Maintain accurate client and matter billing rates based on engagement agreements
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to resolve billing inquiries and produce reports
• Provide pre-bills and updated time entries upon request
• Participate in departmental initiatives and special projects as needed
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of legal billing experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably within an Am Law 200 or NLJ 350 firm
• Proficiency in Aderant or similar legal billing software
• Experience with eBilling platforms such as T360, CounselLink, Legal X, and Legal Tracker
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
