What are the responsibilities and job description for the Airline Ground Handling Agent position at Ascension FBO Network?
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and heat
- Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate without damage or injury
- Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from the aircraft and airport
- Protect baggage and other equipment from damage, loss, and weather conditions
- Drive and operate heavy ground equipment, such as tugs, cargo carts, service trucks, and belt loaders
- Assist with record-keeping and documentation to ensure the correct routing of baggage
- Load and unload baggage:
- Sort and stack baggage on specified carts, conveyors, or screening machines
- Safely transport baggage on carts in specified areas
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Stable job history
Physical requirements:
- Physically able to perform frequent walking, stretching, bending, sitting, stooping, reaching, and grasping actions.
- May be required to work overtime, nights, weekends.
- Repeatedly lift 50 pounds or more
