Loan Servicing Specialist

Seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist to join a growing team in New York for a hybrid position. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive support for the servicing and administration of the Bank’s CRE and C&I loan portfolios. This position ensures accuracy and compliance in all loan servicing activities, including loan boarding, payment processing, document review, invoice preparation, and ongoing portfolio maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review new loan documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to booking.
• Set up new loans in the core banking system, ensuring accurate input of loan terms, collateral, and customer data.
• Coordinate with Credit Administration and Loan Closing teams to ensure all supporting documentation (loan agreements, guaranties, UCC filings, insurance, etc.) is properly received and filed.
• Process daily loan payments, payoffs, and advances in a timely and accurate manner.
• Apply principal, interest, and escrow transactions per loan agreements.
• Prepare and process loan invoices and statements for borrowers as needed.
• Track and monitor key loan requirements (financial reporting, insurance renewals, property taxes, covenants, etc.).
• Assist with interest rate changes, renewals, modifications, and extensions.
• Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries regarding loan balances, payments, or status.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, loan servicing procedures, and all applicable banking regulations (including FDIC, OCC, and other regulatory bodies).

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• 3 years of experience in loan servicing or commercial loan operations, preferably within a bank or financial institution.
• Proficiency in loan accounting systems (e.g., ACBS, FIS, Jack Henry, nCino, Precision, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong knowledge of commercial loan products, documentation, and lifecycle.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
