Paralegal – Litigation Support

Are you an experienced Paralegal looking to work with a collaborative and high-performing legal team? A dynamic law office in Birmingham is seeking a litigation-focused Paralegal to provide essential support to attorneys in a fast-paced, professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in preparation for trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations
• Draft legal documents, including subpoenas, pleadings, and correspondence
• Conduct background and social media investigations
• Assist with case analysis and track deadlines
• Perform electronic filings (state and federal courts)
• Manage subpoenas and follow up for records and updates
• Summarize medical, billing, and deposition records
• Handle case management from inception to resolution

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in civil litigation
• Experience in insurance defense preferred, but not required
• Background in mass tort or class action cases is a plus
• Paralegal certificate or degree in Legal Studies preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Positive, proactive mindset with the ability to multitask effectively
