What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Ascendo Resources?
A global retailer is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their Americas team, reporting to the Finance Manager out of their New Jersey office.
Responsibilities:
- Support financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis across multiple countries in the Americas region
- Actively participate in monthly close processes in collaboration with the Shared Services Accounting team
- Analyze financial performance vs. budget/forecast and explain variances across P&L, CapEx, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports for regional and HQ leadership including the worldwide executive team
- Maintain and enhance forecasting models aligned with business assumptions and strategic priorities
- Partner with department heads and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver financial insights
- Support ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, or Accounting; MBA a plus
- 2 years in a similar FP&A or financial analyst role; retail experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Anaplan; SAP experience a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Comfortable working with international counterparts and maintaining confidentiality
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
