Credit Analyst

Ascendo is excited to present this opportunity in the financial services industry. This is for an experienced and talented Credit Analyst to join a high-performing credit administration division. The role is critical to ensure the financial health and sound lending practices of the institution. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or Mathematics, along with 4 years of experience in spreading and underwriting credit facilities for commercial and corporate clients. Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly prepare and analyze corporate financial statements, tax returns, and related information for accurate credit underwriting.
• Develop comprehensive credit analysis reports for consideration by lending officers and relevant committees.
• Conduct detailed industry, market, and country risk assessments for areas with current or proposed exposure.
• Evaluate and confirm the bank's collateral position, including lien research for real estate loans.
• Request, review, and analyze credit references from external lenders and other informational sources.
• Perform periodic credit monitoring and annual reviews of existing credit relationships.
• Assist the Credit Officer and other Credit Analysts with various projects and departmental needs.

Qualifications:

• Required proficiency in credit analysis software and general office productivity applications.
• Strong ability to conduct independent research, with excellent conceptual and analytical skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or Mathematics is mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to write and speak English and Spanish effectively for internal and external communication.
• 4 years of prior experience in underwriting and spreading diverse credit facilities.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Spanish is a key requirement.
