Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Legal Biller for a full-time, on-site role located in Mineola, NY.

Our client is a highly respected, long-standing law firm based in Mineola, NY. We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist/Accounts Receivable professional to join its accounting team.

This is a critical role supporting the firm’s monthly billing cycle, collections, and high-volume client billing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle law firm billing using Aderant Expert (strongly preferred)
• Process high-volume billing—approximately $2M per month
• Oversee collections and all Accounts Receivable functions
• Work closely with partners, attorneys, and the accounting department to ensure timely billing
• Assist with billing adjustments, write-offs, rates, and matter management
• Collaborate with an 8-person accounting team, including Billing, AR, and Escrow
• Support month-end close and financial reporting related to billing and AR

Required Experience

• 5 years of law firm billing experience (mandatory)
• Aderant Expert experience strongly preferred
• Proven track record managing large billing volumes
• Strong understanding of law firm billing structures, time entries, and workflows
• Experience working cross-functionally within an accounting department
