What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Specialist position at Ascendo Resources?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable professional to join a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ownership of the collections process, enjoys building client relationships, and takes pride in driving cash flow and resolving issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own the end-to-end invoicing process, manually creating and reviewing invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness for each client facility
• Distribute invoices and take a proactive approach to collections, following up on outstanding balances via email (primarily) and phone
• Manage a high volume of accounts while maintaining organized, audit-ready records of invoices, communications, and payment activity
• Monitor aging reports, track collection efforts, and take action to reduce past-due balances and improve cash flow
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client Accounts Payable contacts to drive timely payments and long-term partnerships
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, partnering with internal teams to quickly address and escalate complex issues when needed
• Support audit requests by providing thorough documentation and clear communication history
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or B2B Collections required
• Strong communication skills with a professional, solutions-oriented approach to collections
• Proven ability to manage a high volume of accounts with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
