About the Role:

Job Title: Java Architect

Job Description:

We are looking for a Java Architect with hands-on experience in team leading, Java, Spring, React or Angular, AWS, hands-on coding development is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with technical teams and business stakeholders to propose technical solutions that align with current and future business needs.
• Define the technical target state for the product and drive initiatives to achieve the long-term strategy.
• Participate in architecture governance forums and contribute to key architectural decisions.
• Evaluate technology recommendations and provide insights on emerging tools, frameworks, and best practices.
• Design and implement creative and scalable software solutions, demonstrating the ability to think beyond conventional approaches to solve complex problems.
• Develop high-quality, secure production-ready code and review/debug code written by peers.
• Identify opportunities to automate or eliminate recurring issues to enhance the stability and performance of applications and systems.
• Lead technical evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural design, technical capabilities, and suitability for integration into existing systems.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
• Advanced expertise in one or more programming languages (Java required; additional languages a plus).
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
• Deep understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines, application resiliency, and security best practices.
• Demonstrated technical proficiency in software applications and technologies within disciplines such as cloud, AI/ML, or mobile.
• Solid understanding of financial services industry systems and architecture.
• Practical experience designing and developing cloud-native applications.
• Advanced knowledge of software engineering, application frameworks, and architectural patterns.

Location: New York, NY

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $140K – $160K annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
