Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel and strategic guidance on insurance coverage issues, including policy interpretation, claims handling, and dispute resolution
- Manage and litigate complex insurance coverage and insurance bad faith matters through all stages of litigation
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy and client advisement
- Draft pleadings, motions, coverage opinions, briefs, and other legal documents
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, depositions, hearings, and court proceedings
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the Washington State Bar
- 5 years of experience in insurance coverage, insurance coverage litigation, and/or insurance bad faith litigation
- Strong experience analyzing insurance policies and managing sophisticated coverage disputes
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $170,000 – $190,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
