Job Title: Back End Developer
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and backend services.
- Perform build, unit testing, integration testing, and control testing activities to ensure reliable deployments.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-value solutions.
- Develop and enhance real-time data pipelines, including support for upcoming 2026 modernization initiatives.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, ensuring high system stability and availability.
- Troubleshoot and fix pipeline issues, system defects, and performance bottlenecks.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong experience in backend engineering and distributed systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Python development.
- Practical hands-on experience with PySpark.
- Strong expertise with AWS services, especially: EC2, Lambda, Glue
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledge of Java (significant plus).
- Background in Data Engineering, DevOps, or Software Development.
- Exposure to leadership, mentoring, or team coordination.
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid). We can also consider candidates for the Richmond, VA and McLean, VA locations as well.
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $150,000– $160,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
