Associate Attorney
Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid)
We’re seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to join a well-established law firm with a strong insurance litigation practice. This role is ideal for an attorney with experience handling insurance-related litigation, including coverage disputes, personal injury, premises liability, and bad faith claims. You’ll play a key role in managing litigation matters from pre-litigation through trial while working alongside a collaborative and experienced legal team.
Role Expectations:
- Handle a diverse caseload involving insurance-related litigation, including coverage disputes, personal injury, premises liability, and bad faith claims.
- Investigate and defend first- and third-party insurance claims from pre-litigation through trial and appeal.
- Conduct and defend depositions, draft dispositive motions, and represent clients at hearings in state and federal courts.
- Prepare legal research, coverage analyses, and strategic recommendations for clients throughout the litigation process.
- Collaborate with clients, insurance carriers, and attorneys to develop effective litigation strategies and case resolutions.
- Manage day-to-day responsibility for assigned matters, including client communication, case strategy, and litigation deadlines.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active Colorado Bar admission (required).
- 3 years of litigation experience, preferably with an emphasis on insurance-related litigation.
- Strong experience handling coverage disputes, personal injury, premises liability, bad faith claims, or similar insurance litigation matters.
- Experience investigating and defending first- and third-party claims, taking and defending depositions, drafting dispositive motions, and attending court hearings.
- Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual base salary for this position is between $150,000 – $190,000, depending on experience. Factors that may affect compensation include experience, qualifications, skills, and overall fit for the role.
