Compensation: $114,000–$155,000 Base Salary Annual Bonus Excellent Benefits

Position Overview

A midtown International Conglomerate is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to identify, evaluate, and execute strategic growth opportunities within the Food Retail industry. This role will lead market research, financial analysis, investment evaluations, and strategic partnerships while supporting a portfolio of operating companies and driving long-term business growth.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in corporate development, strategic planning, investment analysis, or business development within the Food Retail sector and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and execute new business, investment, acquisition, and partnership opportunities within the Food & Retail industry.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, financial modeling, and commercial due diligence to assess business opportunities.
• Develop business cases, investment recommendations, financial projections, and executive presentations for senior leadership.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with industry partners, investors, portfolio companies, and key stakeholders.
• Monitor the financial and operational performance of subsidiary and affiliate businesses, recommending initiatives to improve growth and profitability.
• Support strategic planning, acquisitions, post-merger integration, operational improvements, and new business launches.
• Identify opportunities to leverage synergies across portfolio companies to maximize operational effectiveness and long-term value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and international business partners to execute strategic initiatives and drive business performance.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, consumer behavior, and emerging market opportunities within the Food & Retail sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 5 years of experience in Business Development, Corporate Development, Strategic Planning, Investment Analysis, Private Equity, Consulting, or a related field.
• Food Retail industry experience is required.
• Strong financial analysis, valuation, budgeting, and business modeling skills.
• Experience evaluating investments, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, or growth initiatives.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience working in a global or cross-cultural business environment is highly desirable.
