Position Purpose
The Maintenance Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and execution of maintenance practices to ensure the efficient operation of plant equipment, facilities, and production processes. This role ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards, manages capital projects, and provides leadership to the engineering/maintenance team to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and adjust layouts of plant processing lines to accommodate changes or expansions.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee plant construction projects or modifications.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Provide tools, training, and resources for Engineering/Maintenance team success.
Qualifications
- Associate degree (minimum) in mechanical/electrical or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of management experience in manufacturing (meat industry experience preferred).
- State Mechanical Contractor's License (required).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems; refrigeration principles a plus.
- Experience with CAD, PLC equipment, Excel, and MS Word.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills; must be a self-starter.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Manage capital and expense budget projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Maintain strong vendor and contractor relationships for efficient project execution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve facility and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to align on plant priorities.
- Lead, coach, and mentor direct reports to foster a cohesive and high-performing team.
