Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and various accounting software platforms. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting both corporate and non-profit accounting functions, with a focus on ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP and other relevant standards. The Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining Overseas Suppliers the integrity of financial data, preparing reports, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.
Duties
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for overseas suppliers, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Perform general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
- Conduct financial analysis and interpret financial reports to support management decisions.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and maintain documentation for audits.
- Record journal entries accurately while applying double entry bookkeeping principles.
- Support payroll processing and related tax filings in accordance with applicable laws.
- Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mentor junior staff and promote best practices in accounting procedures.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations including SOX compliance, securities law, and governmental accounting standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or non-profit accounting environments.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, technical accounting concepts, and regulatory standards such as SOX.
- Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Experience with financial report writing and interpretation to support strategic decision-making.
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and bank reconciliation tasks accurately.
- Knowledge of tax regulations related to Wills, trusts & estate law is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills combined with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective mentoring skills for guiding junior team members or interns.
- Strong communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and presenting findings to stakeholders. Pay: $70, $80,000.00 per year
