Role Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Executive to drive the growth of our payment services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, a deep understanding of the payments industry, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. This role requires a strategic mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to drive new business opportunities. As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing high-value deals while positioning our payment solutions as a market leader. This position is based out of Omaha, Nebraska.
Compensation: $65,000-$75,000 base salary commissions
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and strategic alliances.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored payment solutions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective sales and marketing campaigns.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.
- Represent Ascendant and FTNI at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in the payments industry and continuously improve product knowledge.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in B2B sales, with a strong background in selling software and/or payments solutions.
- Strong sales and account management skills, with a focus on relationship building and client retention
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools. Preference for experience working with HubSpot.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success teams
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets and objectives
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience in the financial technology or payment industry is a strong asset
