What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional with adult IDD experience position at Ascenda Care, Inc?
We are seeking 2 Direct Support Staff to provide Companion Services overnight for a 30y/o nonverbal male with severe intellectual disabilities and seizure disorder. This individual resides in North Wales, Pa. with his parents and requires consistent supervision from 10pm-8am to provide physical assistance with his ADLs and ensure his safety and well-being. Staff must be dependable, have a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities include aiding movement with gait vest, assistance with self-care, communication, and adaptive skills. The DSP must be consistent, professional, compliant with state regulations and the mission and values of Ascenda Care, Inc.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
