Job Overview

Ascend Mental Health & Wellness is hiring multiple compassionate and motivated LMSWs to join our growing outpatient clinical team.

Opening in Hampton Bays in November 2026, Ascend was founded by an LCSW and a psychiatric nurse practitioner who believe that excellent mental health care begins with clinicians feeling supported, respected, and connected. Our practice brings psychotherapy and psychiatric care together so clinicians can collaborate and patients can receive more coordinated treatment.

We are thoughtfully building our initial team and are seeking several clinicians with different backgrounds, strengths, and areas of interest. As an early member of Ascend, you will have the opportunity to grow with the practice and help shape the welcoming, collaborative culture we are creating.

What you can expect:

• $45 per completed session hour Paid clinical supervision at the same $45 hourly rate Compensation for qualifying no-shows and late cancellations under Ascend’s policy A flexible schedule developed around your availability and patient needs A combination of in-person and telehealth services Referrals and support with developing your caseload Scheduling, billing, credentialing, and administrative support A modern electronic health record and integrated telehealth platform Comfortable, professionally furnished office space Direct access to clinical leadership and psychiatric consultation Opportunities to learn from and collaborate with a growing team of clinicians

The Role

You will provide individual psychotherapy to adults age 18 and older presenting with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, substance-use disorders, relationship difficulties, and professional burnout.

Your responsibilities will include completing assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, providing evidence-based and trauma-informed therapy, maintaining timely documentation, and collaborating with other providers when clinically appropriate.

We are interested in clinicians who are dependable, emotionally attuned, open to feedback, and genuinely invested in helping patients make meaningful progress. Outpatient experience is welcome, but we are equally interested in promising LMSWs who are ready to strengthen their clinical skills through supervision and consultation.

Qualifications

• Active New York State LMSW license in good standing Master’s degree in social work from an accredited program Ability to provide services from our Hampton Bays office Strong communication, clinical judgment, and documentation skills Commitment to ethical, compassionate, and patient-centered care Willingness to participate in supervision and collaborative consultation

Compensation

Clinicians are paid $45 per completed session hour. Approved clinical supervision is also compensated at $45 per hour. Qualifying no-shows and late cancellations are compensated in accordance with Ascend’s written policy.

The anticipated start date is November 2026 and is subject to completion of onboarding and insurance credentialing.
