Job Summary

Ascend Mental Health & Wellness is hiring multiple experienced and compassionate LCSWs to join our growing outpatient clinical team.

Opening in Hampton Bays in November 2026, Ascend was founded by an LCSW and a psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience across inpatient psychiatry, outpatient mental health, addiction treatment, and private practice. We created Ascend to bring psychotherapy and psychiatric care together in a setting where patients receive coordinated treatment and clinicians feel supported in doing their best work.

We are thoughtfully building a diverse initial team and are seeking several LCSWs with different clinical backgrounds, specialties, and treatment approaches. As an early member of Ascend, you will have the opportunity to establish a caseload that reflects your strengths and help shape the culture of a growing clinician-owned practice.

What to expect:

• $55 per completed session hour for up to 25 sessions per week Increased compensation for higher weekly productivity Compensation for qualifying no-shows and late cancellations under Ascend’s policy A flexible schedule developed around your availability and patient needs A combination of in-person and telehealth services Referrals and support with building your caseload Scheduling, billing, credentialing, and administrative support A modern electronic health record and integrated telehealth platform Comfortable, professionally furnished office space Direct access to clinical leadership and psychiatric consultation Opportunities to consult and collaborate with other experienced clinicians

The Role

You will provide individual psychotherapy to adults age 18 and older presenting with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, personality disorders, substance-use disorders, relationship difficulties, and professional burnout.

Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, providing evidence-based and trauma-informed therapy, maintaining timely clinical documentation, coordinating care when appropriate, and participating in clinical consultation.

We are looking for clinicians who combine sound clinical judgment with warmth, reliability, and professionalism. We value therapists who can work independently while also appreciating the benefits of consultation, teamwork, and coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Active New York State LCSW license in good standing Master’s degree in social work from an accredited program Experience providing outpatient psychotherapy Ability to provide services from our Hampton Bays office Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills Commitment to ethical, compassionate, and patient-centered care

Compensation

Clinicians are paid $55 per completed session hour for up to 25 sessions per week. Each session completed above 25 is compensated at $65. When 35 sessions are completed in one week, all completed sessions that week are compensated at the $65 rate. Qualifying no-shows and late cancellations are compensated in accordance with Ascend’s written policy.

The anticipated start date is November 2026 and is subject to completion of onboarding and insurance credentialing.
