We perform new business and recurring collateral exams on our clients’ borrowers, to help identify and mitigate potential risks concerning pledged collateral. JOB DESCRIPTION:
The field examiner will be responsible for performing field examinations and due diligence projects to support our clients’ loan portfolios. This will primarily involve conducting on-site (and remote) collateral audits, typically covering accounts receivable, inventory, accounts payable, cash, financials, insurance, and taxes. Specific activities will include:
- Conduct new business and recurring field audits on our clients’ borrowers.
- Collect and consolidate a series of data and reports provided by the Company.
- Analyze trends, conduct sample testing, and generate a thorough understanding of the Company’s collateral base and assess potential collateral risk and lender exposure.
- Effectively communicate with our clients’ borrowers (Manager to C-Level Executives), our clients (Lenders) and Ascend Management daily.
- Complete field examinations in a timely manner while maintaining Ascends’ reputation for quality.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a related field (internships included).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Advanced Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Sumifs, If statements).
- General understanding of accounting and financial statements.
- Willingness and desire to travel up to ~ 25%.
- A valid U.S. Driver’s License
ADDITIONAL DETAIL:
- Budgeted compensation between $50K - $70K depending on experience.
- Benefits offered include medical, dental, vision, 401K and HSA.
- Potential bonus incentives, based on performance.
