Cashier/Team Member

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced quick service restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling cash transactions, and ensuring a clean and sanitized customer area. This role requires collaboration with team members to learn about our coffee offerings, our menu, and assist customers in making decisions.

Once Team Members are profient at helping customers at the register, food training takes place. Learning recipes with accuracy and speed. Barista training is also available to Team Members who show the ability to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide prompt service at the cash register.
• Accurately handle cash transactions and maintain cash handling procedures.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process orders efficiently and with accuracy
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Sanitate work areas regularly to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain a positive experience.
• Work diligently on side task work during down time.
• Assist with cleaning, stocking and washing dishes.
• Complete close of business and fully cleaning customer area.
• Learn basics of preparing food menu
• Opportunity to advance to Barista position available

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a quick service restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus.
• Experience with cash handling and familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.90 - $18.00 per hour
