Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products or services that meet their needs
- Process cash transactions accurately using cash registers and POS systems, including handling cash drawers and performing cash management duties
- Conduct retail math calculations for sales totals, discounts, returns, and refunds with precision
- Support retail lending activities by explaining financial products and assisting with loan processing or collections when necessary
- Enter data efficiently into financial software systems, ensuring accuracy in transactions and customer records
- Manage the cash drawer during shifts, including balancing at the end of each day to ensure proper cash handling
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail sales or retail store environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of banking or financial services is a plus, especially related to retail lending or loan collections
- Strong basic math skills and proficiency in retail math calculations are essential
- Experience with data entry and processing cash transactions accurately using 10-key typing skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Familiarity with financial software systems used for transaction processing and record keeping
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
