What are the responsibilities and job description for the Document Control Clerk position at Asc Process Systems?

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Examine documents, such as drawings, procedures, work instructions, and forms to verify compliance with document and drawing control policies.
* Data entry of preliminary, non-conforming reports.
* Scanning and data entry of completed drawings, inspection reports, and customer approval drawings into the OMS system.
* Works closely with document originators and engineering teams to review drawings, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy.
* Verifies and releases only the latest approved revisions of drawings and documents within the document management system.
* Ensures obsolete revisions are withdrawn from use prior to releasing updated versions.
* Responsible for maintaining control of all production release drawings from initial release through completion of product.
* Perform audits and reports overdue non-conformance reports. Open inspections and pending corrective actions.
* Responsible for issuing drawings to the Purchasing department.
* Responsible for ordering mechanical and electrical labels, and generating terminal and wire labels for the Electrical department.
* Prepare operational manuals for completed jobs.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Entry-level position. Minimum 1 year of general clerical experience.
* Experience working within Manufacturing environment, preferred.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Must type 50 wpm
* Proficient with Microsoft Office.
* Must be organized, with excellent time-management skills are required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time is common. For purpose of collecting or distributing document control paperwork, such as production drawings, or completing similar tasks. Must be able to spend limited amounts of time in
a heavy manufacturing environment that is not air-conditioned and has exposure to noise and dust/particles caused by welding and other fabrication activities associated with the production of industrial process equipment. PPE will be required including
hard hats, protective glasses, and ear protection. Additional protective devices such as dust masks are available.
