What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant position at Asbury Park Nursing and Rehabilitation?
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions
- Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes
- Collaborate with the occupational therapy team to develop and modify treatment plans
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Experience:
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Familiarity with occupational health and medical terminology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
