Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of food and drink options to enhance their experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled efficiently
- Serve food and beverages promptly
- Process sales transactions accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision
- Upsell menu items and beverage options to maximize sales while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations and restaurant policies
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall guest relations
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred, especially fine dining or high-volume environments
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing sales records
- Culinary experience or food handling knowledge is advantageous for understanding menu ingredients and preparation standards
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Food safety certification or sanitation training is preferred to ensure compliance with health regulations
