Who We Are
The Laboratory at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center conducts over two million billed tests per year, a major factor in our designation as a 100 Top Cardiovascular Hospital. Our staff of skilled professionals (including nine Pathologists) covers a full range of specialties, including Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Cytology, Microbiology, Molecular, and Histology. Our lab is also a Red Cross Depot Center and offers an extensive esoteric menu through Special Chemistry. The lab features the following equipment: Total Lab Automation (one of the first sites in the state to offer this feature), Epic Beaker LIS, Power Express Automation line, AU5800, DXI, DXH 900, Cellavision, Iriscell,Top 750, Bactec, and Cobas Molecular Platform. In addition to supporting our nationally recognized cardiovascular program, our labs support a wide range of clinical specialties, including oncology, a neonatal intensive care unit, three general intensive care units, and trauma care. In addition to being CAP accredited, our laboratory is also AABB certified.
Position Summary
The Clinical Lab Supervisor performs appropriate tests and procedures in the general laboratory while supervising personnel. Also provides technical advice and maintains effective communication / expectations for all levels of laboratory staff and ensures reliability and timeliness of results. May work AM or PM shift.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in general science or related field, from an accredited college or university is required.
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Operations, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field, preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Staff Medical Technologist in a pathologist directed lab.
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of Medical Technology.
- MLS: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS(ASCP) or MT(ASCP)) - OR - Microbiology Specialist ASCP in lieu of MLS for ARRMC Microbiology Lab.
