What You'll Lead
You'll oversee all aspects of foundry production, including:
- Melting operations
- Molding
- Metal casting
- Finishing operations
- Production scheduling
- Quality improvement
- Safety initiatives
- Equipment utilization
- Workforce development
What You'll Do
As Foundry Production Manager, you'll lead daily operations while driving continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead daily and weekly production to meet customer demand
- Supervise and develop production supervisors and hourly employees
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- Reduce scrap and improve first-pass quality
- Monitor production KPIs, labor efficiency, and throughput
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement
- Foster a culture focused on safety, accountability, and operational excellence
- Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Collaborate with Quality to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Manage raw material utilization and production efficiency
- Analyze production performance and communicate results to leadership
Qualifications
Required
- Previous foundry manufacturing experience
- Manufacturing leadership experience managing production teams
- Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling
- Experience improving productivity and operational performance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
