Security Guard

Asahi Refining USA, Inc. has a full-time Security Guard position available. Security Guards are responsible for the protection of Company and Customer assets and to initiate and implement appropriate security measures, policies and procedures. Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

This position has the following responsibilities:

• Controls personnel traffic in and out of plant.
• Controls all traffic into the secure compound area by checking for proper I.D. and the contents of the vehicles.
• Conducts body and package search of personnel by monitoring metal arch, using a hand held metal detector, and an x-ray unit.
• Monitors all electronic surveillance systems.
• Installs and removes seals on doors as required.
• Conducts patrols checking for locked doors, unsecured metal, unsecured confidential documents and any other security or safety violations.
• Perform facility searches and random inspections.
• Involved in Initial investigations and providing detailed reports
• Answers all incoming calls in a professional manner.
• Acts as an escort for contractors and witness representatives when required.
• Performs other tasks including responding to alarms, taking pictures for employee I.D. cards, maintains key control system, completes daily logs and forms.
• Attend Monthly Security Meetings.
• Attend all safety meetings.
• Scan all trash from Production area checking for precious metal and other unauthorized items.

Qualifications for this position are:

• 3 - 5 years relevant experience working in a high security environment, preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Security Technology software
• Must project a "professional" image in all aspects of performance.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with a customer service approach to dealing with people.
• Ability to work in a team environment in close quarters and support the efforts of the team.
• Must have and be able to maintain a Security Guard License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.50 per hour
