Multi-Axis CNC Lathe Setup Specialist

You arrive to a stable temperature, power up a multi-axis lathe, and review the next job’s setup sheet. You load material, dial in offsets, verify tooling, and run a first piece. With calipers, micrometers, and gauges in hand, you confirm features and dimensions, make fine adjustments, and then let production run smoothly. As parts come off, you spot-check quality and keep the process dialed.

• $22 to $30 per hour, based on experience
• Shift pay available for 2nd & 3rd shifts

• Set up and run multi-axis CNC lathes
• Adjust machine parameters and tooling as needed
• Load raw materials or components into semi-automated machines
• Inspect first piece and production parts with precision measuring tools

• 6 months of CNC lathe experience with hands-on part setup
• Background machining precision metal components
• Working knowledge of calipers, micrometers, and first-piece inspection practices

• Reading a tape measure accurately
• CNC machine setup and changeover
• Advanced inspection and gauge use
• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards
• Configuring machines for production runs
• Manual machining fundamentals

• CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Mazak, Haas, Okuma, Doosan, Takisawa, Dmg Mori Seiki, Samsung, Murata, Fuji, Nakamura, Hyundai - Wia, Hwachon, Quick Tech)
• CNC Swiss Lathe (Star, Citizen, Tsugami, Index, Eurotech, Tornos, Ganesh, Hanwha, Yama-Seiki, Nomura)
• CNC Grinder (Mitsubishi, Okuma, Okamoto, Studer, Amada, Toyoda, Chevalier, Anca, Walter, Tru-Tech)
• CNC Mill (5 axis VMC) (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Mazak, Haas, Okuma, Kitamura, Matsuura, Mikron, Dmg Mori Seiki, Hwachon)
