About Us
Arvada Army Navy Surplus is a family-owned store in Olde Town Arvada, serving Colorado since 1984. We carry Carhartt, Levi’s, work and hiking boots, knives, military surplus, and outdoor gear. We’re not a big box — our customers come here because our people actually know the product.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for someone who wants to build something here, not just clock hours. This starts as a sales floor position, but for the right person it turns into a real career — buying product, managing a department, merchandising the floor, maybe running our surplus events.
We don’t hand those roles out on day one. You earn them by showing up, learning the product, taking care of customers, and proving you can be trusted. If you do that, the path is real:
- Months 1–6: Learn the floor, the product, the customers
- Months 6–12: Key Holder ($20 /hr) — open/close, lead the floor
- Year 2 : Buyer, Department Manager, or Merchandiser ($45–50K )
Day to Day
- Help customers find the right boot, jacket, knife, or gear for the job
- Walk customers to what they need — don’t point from across the store
- Keep your department stocked, clean, and shoppable
- Work the register when needed
- Jump in wherever the team needs help — small crew, everyone contributes
