What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter Helper position at ARV Remodeling Corp.?
We are a 30-year established residential construction company providing home remodeling services to the Long Island area. We are seeking a motivated individual to work directly alongside the owner/contractor. This is an entry-level position requiring limited prior work experience. The position offers the opportunity to learn and grow in the industry.
Job Duties/Responsibilities include:
- Assist with various aspects of carpentry work(framing, decking, flooring, siding, etc)
- Measure and cut materials for installation
- Accept, load and unload material deliveries
- Maintain/organize safe and neat work site
Job Requirements:
- General construction knowledge
- Drivers License with reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to operate power tools
- Own hand tools
- Physical strength and agility to lift heavy objects, climb scaffolding and perform strenuous manual labor
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
