Primary Purpose:
The role of the Talent Development Trainer is to develop, manage and coordinate mentoring and training and development programs throughout the organization based on our Leadership Development framework. This position teaches courses for the Five Pillars Academy and builds on those training sessions to create mentoring partnerships and additional training for employees to improve their skills in communication, team development, change management or other specific topics as requested by the individual leader.

Essential Functions:
Responsible for executing ARUP’s leadership training program
Consults closely with HR Business Partners and department leaders to identify gaps and create content specific to individuals and teams.
Conducts training sessions in groups and/or individually as needed by ARUP departments and leaders.
Implements and manages pre and post assessments for training and development activities.
Provides direction and accountability for coachees
Coordinates, administers, and continually improves ARUP’s mentoring program.
Creates mentoring partnerships by working with existing and new leaders based on experience and interest.
Creates and teaches courses for leadership and other subjects as part of the Five Pillars Academy.
Conducts an introduction to coaching as part of the new leader course.
Implements and manages the overall training program effectiveness based on feedback and evaluations.
Partners closely with HR Business Partners and other senior leaders to determine gaps in leadership skills and opportunities for training and development.
Conducts applicable assessments for training individuals, leaders, and teams
May be involved with other tasks/assignments for other members of the Talent Development Team or HR Department.
Supports the Talent Development Strategic Plan and Objectives.
Supports the overall Human Services recruiting and retention strategies.
Supports the Talent Development Team in employee engagement activities
Other duties as assigned.
Physical and Other Requirements:
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Communicate: Frequently and effectively communicate with others.
PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.
ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance.
Experience
Required- Two (2) years of experience in training, facilitation, training content development, employee engagement
- Experience in developing and implementing training and development content
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills to build effective relationships
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Master’s degree
- Experience with learning management systems
- Ability to harness and use data to make informed decisions
Education
Required- Bachelor's Degree or better in Human Resources or related field
- Master's Degree or better in Human Resources or related field
