General Purpose of the Position:

***REMOTE POSITION****

To procure and develop Customer Relationships, Freight Opportunities, and the management of those opportunities in their entirety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Bid and secure freight transactions; including scheduling and tracking shipments, negotiating with freight carriers, and handling customer questions.
• Prospect for new clients, secure transportation, match carriers with customers and maintain positive customer and carrier relations. 
• Conduct timely check calls and system updates.
• Manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

• Timely communication with the Director of Agent Development and Vice President.

• Maintain current Customer relations.

Skills and Abilities Required:

• Excellent phone etiquette, computer skills, and negotiation abilities.
• Able to hunt, find, and secure new accounts.
• Must be able to work independently and successfully. 
• Must be willing to continuously cold call. 
• Work well under pressure, able to multi-task, plan and organize.
• Able to verbally communicate with customers, coworkers, and management

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
