The internship application process involves five steps:
Step 1: The applicant will submit their application through the online application form to the ArtsQuest Internship Department for review
Step 2: Qualified applicants will be contacted for a phone interview. Students can expect to be contacted within 2-3 weeks from the submission of their application.
Step 3: Successful phone interview candidates will be contacted to schedule an in-person interview with the appropriate department
Step 4: In-person interview candidates are reviewed and discussed
Step 5: Top applicants are sent an offer letter and are invited to attend an internship orientation
Responsibilities:
- Writing, editing and proofreading press releases, media advisories, pitches and other public relations materials.
- Researching, drafting and assisting with pitching stories to local, regional and national media outlets.
- Assisting with the preparation of printed and digital communications for ArtsQuest programs and events, including Musikfest, the Creative Factory powered by PPL, Christkindlmarkt, the Musikfest Cafe and more.
- Writing and preparing copy for ArtsQuest websites, social media and other forms of communications.
- Conducting media research, including compiling media lists, tracking coverage and assisting with reporting.
- Assist with special public relations initiatives and campaigns tied to ArtsQuest events and programs.Additional Benefits:

Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in a full time undergraduate or graduate degree program with the ability to earn credits for this internship
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are must
- Ability to set and adhere to strict deadlines and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience writing for publication is preferred
- Relevant public relations, journalism, or marketing courses
- An interest or passion for the arts
