ArtSpace Charter School, a K-8 public school near Asheville, NC is seeking an energetic, skilled, and dynamic professional for a full time instructional support position, assigned in 1st grade. This position is responsible for reinforcing and supporting classroom instruction through individual or small group work. This is a 10 month position, salaried over 12 months. Minimum Requirements: Associate's degree, OR, three (3) years of experience working with students: OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in managing classroom activities and student engagement
- Support the operation of a safe, positive learning environment
- Help implement lesson plans and facilitate literacy and math activities.
- Foster communication with students to enhance their learning experience.
- Monitor student behavior and provide guidance to promote positive interactions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
