Job Overview:
We are looking for a Desktop Support Technician to provide prompt and professional support for workstations, software, and peripheral devices within a Microsoft network environment. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting PC hardware and software to ensure optimal performance. Support will be provided in person, over the phone, or via email.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and upgrade desktop hardware and software.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to workstations and peripherals.
Provide timely, courteous, and effective support to end users.
Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
Assist with special-purpose software when needed.
Travel to local facilities as needed (occasional travel to greater MN locations may be required).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in desktop or technical support.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware (laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile devices), peripherals, AV equipment, and connectivity issues.
Experience with enterprise tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive, OneNote, SharePoint, and common web browsers.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize based on urgency and impact.
Professional demeanor and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Preferred Certifications:
A Certification
Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCSDT) or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
