What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Account Manager position at Artisan Talent?
Artisan Talent is reimagining how creative and design teams are built. We help high-velocity brands and tech companies hire full-stack talent — fast, innovative, and right the first time.
We’re looking for driven, dynamic relationship builders who want to shape the future of creative work—people who thrive on connecting innovators with opportunities. If you love finding and closing deals, building long-term partnerships, and working at the intersection of design, tech, and AI — this might be your next great move.
About Artisan Talent
A boutique, specialized staffing agency focused on the product, tech, and AI design space. We prioritize quality over quantity and take a high-touch, human approach to staffing.
Our three pillars:
- Curation: Diagnose hiring challenges and deliver curated, right-fit solutions
- Collaboration: Recruiters and account managers partner for the best outcomes
- Performance: 40% higher placement ratio than competitors
The Role
In this role, you’ll identify hiring challenges, engage recruiters to solve them, and build your own client base. This is a full-cycle position where you’ll own relationships end to end — from prospecting to long-term partnership.
You’ll have the tools and recruiter support to help you succeed, but the drive and initiative are all yours. You’ll thrive if you’re a creative problem solver, open to learning new ways to engage prospects, and hungry to tackle hiring challenges head-on.
You’ll work closely with recruiters to understand your clients’ teams and strategically solve their needs with top talent. We’ll provide cutting-edge tools and the autonomy to make an impact. Success here looks like curiosity, consistency, and a genuine passion for connecting creative people with meaningful work.
Day to Day:
- Source and engage hiring managers through Apollo, Clay, HubSpot, and referrals
- Convert prospects into repeat clients through consultative outreach
- Manage the full sales cycle: uncover needs, present top talent, negotiate terms, and oversee delivery
- Partner with recruiters to ensure successful placements
- Place standout talent — product designers, UX engineers, AI-enhanced creatives, and marketing pros
- Close hourly contracts ($80–$120/hr target) and direct-hire roles
- Attend networking events to expand your reach and visibility
- Stay current on creative, tech, and AI industry trends
- Build real client relationships — lunches, events, conversations that matter
You'll Succeed Here If:
- 4–6 years of client-facing sales or business development experience
- A passion for creative, tech, or digital industries
- Proven ability to build new business and manage full sales cycles
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative mindset — you enjoy partnering with recruiters and clients alike
- (Bonus) Experience in staffing, recruiting, or agency environments
- This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-autonomy environment. You’ll have the freedom to build your own book of business without inherited accounts or guaranteed territories — and the opportunity to shape your success from day one.
